"Twas the Night Before..." Layout by Brenda

Hello!!!
You have until 11:59 PM (PST) tonight
to complete a layout inspired by
This month we teamed up with Sketch~N~Scrap, so if you link up an entry here and also on their site, that's two chances to win!
Here is the sketch, and all you need to do is use:
 (2) different border punches and one other type of punch:
and here is my take on the challenge:
For this challenge I was able to create a companion page for a layout I created earlier this month, as well as get a couple of photos scrapped from 2004 of my son and grandchildren.   I used (2) EK Success Border Punches, a small heart punch as well as a corner punch for the green tab on the left side of the page.  I basically followed the sketch, but instead of adding the ornaments at the bottom of the page, I used that area for my title work only!

This is the last of the design for 2013!!
Our first 2014 Stash Challenge will be revealed on January 1st!!!
Also, if you have not heard, we have (4) new design team members joining us in January!!!!

Remember you still have until 11:59 Pm (PST) tonight to get creative and create a layout for one or both of our December's challenges for a chance to win this month's awesome prize:

"Christmas Is Here" Layout by DT Manda

Hi and thanks for stopping by today!
Today's inspiration was created by DT Manda, inspired by our
This is what Manda shared about her layout:
"Ahhh punches! I used to have a lot of these little fellows but I never really used them so most of them were purged, luckily I had a couple of border ones to use. The first border I used is at the top of my photo to give the backing paper the look of being torn out of a notebook. The second border punch is under the title. When it came to the extra punch I had to get creative because I only had circle punches but I used two different sizes and layered them with a little banner brad I had in my stash from last year.
Well, this is my last post with Scrap Our Stash, it has been wonderful being part of such a creative team and I have loved seeing what you all make for the challenges.
I wish you all a Scrappy New Year."

Today's beautiful inspiration is being shared by Rochelle:

Not it's your turn to show us what you can do with this sketch and your punches!   I am sure most of you received new scrap supplies for Christmas, so in order to make room for all your new goodies, you need to dig deep into your stash, create a layout inspired by our

"December" Layout by DT Elizabeth

Happy day after Christmas!
I hope that you had a wonderful day with family and friends and ready for a little scrap therapy!
Today DT Elizabeth is sharing a layout she created inspired by our
Elizabeth:
"We've done some pretty special stuffy this month celebrating our first Christmas as a family together, but it is in the daily lives that we have the most memories to remember. Alyssa and I went out one day to lunch and were just enjoying each others company. We were talking about Christmas and how excited we were to celebrate it together as a new family. We laughed a lot. Ate a wonderful lunch and desert and had a lot of fun!

I really wanted to do a non traditional colored layout. I used Scrapbook Circle's December kit for that pulling out the yellow as a contrast. I had a lot of fun using the punches and follow the sketch too!"

You have a few more days to get in on this challenge as well as our
December Stash Challenge!
Click HERE for details on both challenges, we would love to see your interpretation of one or both challenges!!!

Stop by again tomorrow to check out more design team inspiration!

"O' Christmas Tree" Layout by DT Lee-Anne

What a great way to document all the work you've done to create the beautiful Christmas tree you decorated this year!
Our beautiful inspiration today is perfect for the eve of Christmas and is being shared by
DT Lee-Anne!!!
Lee-Anne:
"I used two border punches as well as a tiny envelope punch to create the mini envelopes on the right hand side of the layout and then used a Kreaxions punch to create the snowflakes on the flaps of the envelopes as well as the corners of the layout. I thought the feather craft boa would be fitting for the layout as my Christmas tree is white this year. I used a smaller tree that I usually put in my basement but since my hubby is away, I wanted to simplify and not have to struggle with lights as it is pre lit. Merry Christmas to those who celebrate and happy holidays too!"
 Lee-Anne xo

This is Lee-Anne's last design team post for Scrap Our Stash.
We hate to see her go, but all good things must come to an end.  We are so honored to have had her as one of our team members for this past design team term.

"The Heist" Layout by DT Robin

Happy Monday!
Today's bright & cheerful December Sketch with Stash inspiration is being shared by
DT Robin!!
Robin:
"Great fun with this month’s sketch challenge! These pictures are from earlier in the month when I took my Great-Niece and her friends to see Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. We had a blast and it was a GREAT show.
As you can see, I used two different border punches on the center strips going across the layout. And the punch I used is the PickPunch.com punch that punches guitar picks out. It’s used to make actual guitar picks if you punch them out of a sturdy enough plastic."

I am sure your schedule is a busy one since we are only a couple of days away from Christmas! So, we thank you and appreciate you taking the time to stop by today!
If you have time between now and the 29th to get some scrapping in, we would love for you to participate in one or both of our December challenges, and link it up on the right side bar for a chance to win our monthly prize!
And...as a bonus this month we have teamed up with Sketch~N~Scrap for our sketch challenge, therefore if you complete our sketch challenge, you can also link it up on their site for a chance to enter into their monthly prize drawing....cool huh!!!

"Falling" Layout by DT Jenni

Happy Sunday!
Are you ready for some awesome inspiration!   Today DT Jenni is not only sharing her take on
 December's Sketch with Stash Challenge:
Jenni:
"Not quite ready to abandon Fall yet! I was inspired by the warm color of this wood grain paper to use these photos of my daughter for this Challenge. I love punches, a tool I use a lot, but mostly use a star and heart punch. This was a great Challenge to get me to dust off a couple others. I used a postage edge punch, a "stitch" punch and a notebook edge for my border punches. I used a large circle punch and my Crop-a-Dile as well. Now I can say goodbye to Fall and concentrate on December!"

And we have a bonus for you today!  Jenni has also prepared this Start to Finish video with details on how she created her layout:

We appreciate you taking the time to stop by and check out  our daily inspiration.  If your mojo is hanging out with the elfs, I hope that Jenni's video gives you a little jump start to get your creative ideas flowing!

"Happy Girls are the Prettiest" Layout by DT Kerry

Hi Everyone!
I am sure you are all busy preparing for the BIG DAY!
Only 4 sleeps and a wake up!!!!
Thank you for stopping by to check out today's adorable inspiration created by DT Kerry
inspired by our
Kerry:
"A great challenge for me as I haven't used my border punches for a long time and it was fun to go back to them! The papers behind the photo's have a scalloped border in two colours and the beautiful flower scalloped one at the bottom seemed appropriate for these photo's of two little girls in dress up. Both of the border punches are Martha Stewart and the 'other' punch I used was for the little tags in the top corner. It's so easy for me to forget my punches these days as I have lots of thin dies to play with, but I must try and remember my forgotten punches as they were the first tools I started scrapping with!! Please dig out your punches and play along, perhaps you have some tucked away somewhere gathering dust like mine."

Enjoy your weekend and if you haven't yet and you get a chance, check out our
December Sketch with Stash Challenge
create a layout and share it with us for a chance to win this month's prize package!

I used two different border punches, the star border punch from American Crafts, and the edger punch from EK Success, The other punch is the doily punch from We R Memory Keepers, the punch I used on the circle behind the photos."
Visit my blog here...http://joefilcate.blogspot.com/

"Happy" Layout by DT Patricia

Good Morning!!!!
We are back on the blog today with more inspiration!!!
Today's layout was inspired by our
and created by our DT Patricia:
Patricia:
"It is the end of the year and what a great sketch to end the year out with! Hoping everyone enjoyed the challenges and sketches brought forth with Scrap Our Stash...I know I did!

This layout captures a fun little photo with myself and my honey at a Laker Game, our fav Basketball Team! This layout was challenging for me because believe it or not, I do not own any border punches! So I had to borrow from someone elses stash! The 2 strips I used laying horizontally I punched with the border punches and also used some scallop punches in the lower right hand corner.

I love using embellishments as you can see...I am enjoying actually just emptying packages and packages of embellishments that I seem to love to collect over the years!

Enjoy and thanks as always for participating in our challenges!"

So have you had a chance to check out this month's sketch?  Click HERE to view the sketch and get the details on the challenge.  And since we are teaming up with Sketch~N~Scrap for this challenge, you can also link it up on their site to be entered into their monthly prize drawing!

"Trim the Tree" Layout by DT Kelly

Happy Wednesday Scrappers!!!
Today's merry and bright inspiration is being shared by DT Kelly:
Kelly:
"I followed the sketch almost exactly and loved pulling out my border punches, one by Martha Stewart (scallop) and the other by EK Success (notebook). Papers I used were the Lawn Fawn Pure Joy Love collection and my other type of punch is a mini Christmas tree by EK Success. I haven't pulled that out of the stash in years! I also dug into my bling and used up some colored rhinestones on the Christmas light paper. I hope you will find some extra fun in reusing your punches for this super fun challenge!"

If you need to de-stress and take a break from all of the holiday hoopla and preparations,

Thank you for stopping by today to check out today's lovely inspiration created by
DT Dulcinea inspired by our

It's so good! I love the modern look combined with the romantic colors on this layout about my niece and nephew when they were little. So sweet!
Hope you enjoy the inspiration and I'm taking this opportunity to wish you all a
Merry Christmas!"

"Creating Memories" LO by DT Kelly

Today's wonderful inspiration comes from our DT Kelly!!  Take a look:

Kelly said this about her layout:

It has been a long time since I participated in a word challenge and I was thrilled to already have an idea for my title up front! Many times I struggle with my title, so this really helped with my starting point for the layout. And my stash is FULL of ancient photo corners. I mean the ones from years ago that you actually lick the back and they adhere to the paper but hold your photo corner in place! I had to cut the paper off the back of them but realized I could sure use these for many future projects! Papers I chose came from the My Minds Eye Collectable collection and I used some old sticker letters for my title from my stash too!

We have a very important announcement to make tomorrow!!! :) So much sure you com back and see! :)

 Happy Scrappin'!

"Simple Joys" LO by DT Manda

Hello Crafters!
Today's inspiration is from our DT member Manda Moore:
Here's what Manda said about her layout:
"I chose Simple Joys as the phrase I wanted to use, I had this photo of Harry on my desk so long and I thought it was perfect for the title. There is nothing my cats love more than an empty box, you can buy them all the cat toys there are and they will still just want the box it came in and that really is a simple joy for them. I used the photo as inspiration for my colour scheme, using some kraft cardstock to mat the layout and some papers from the Amy Tangerine Cut & Paste collection. I added my photo corners first for this layout as I wanted to sew around the edge of the papers and didn't want them to look out of place by sticking them over the stitching. I cut the little wood veneer card in half and placed it on opposite sides on my photo so it looked like it went all the way under."

Happy Scrappin'!

"Love at Home" LO by DT Kerry

Happy Humpity-Hump day!!! :)

Check out today's inspiration by DT member Kerry:
Kerry said this about her layout:
"Whilst looking through my photo's I found this old one of my daughter after she had written a message on the bath tiles and then called me to see it. It seemed the perfect photo for the 'Love at Home' quote so out came all my heart stitching templates and I made lots of floating hearts across my page and stitched the word 'Love' on the tag too as part of my title. I had some kraft sticky photo corners to anchor my photo to the page, a little doodling and paint splashes finished my page off. There is a lovely variety of quotes to choose from in this challenge and I'm looking forward to seeing your pages. xx"

"Love One Another" LO by Rochelle

Happy Tuesday!!

Today's inspiration is from me, Rochelle! :)

I used the phrase "Love One Another" from the Word Art as my title.  I used my chipboard photo corners as chervons on the left and right side of page.  I really enjoyed creating this layout because it brought me back to a Shabby Chic style which I haven't done in quite a while.  I used paper and an treat bag from a Scrap-Room kit, a doily, Prima flowers & light bulb, Maya Road Ribbon (made into a flower) and chipboard, Making Memories photos corners, Hiedi Swapp polaroid frame and Linnie Blooms canvas pieces (arrow and leaves).

For more information on this Word Art challenge, click HERE.  You still have until the end of the month to upload your layout to the side bar.

See you tomorrow with a new challenge! :)

"We Will Call Him Harley" LO by DT Robin

Happy Monday!!

Today's inspiration is from our talented DT Robin!  Check out her fabulous layout:
Here's what Robin said about her layout: "At this stage in my life I look at the phrases in the Word Art Inspiration a bit differently. My kids are grown and moved out so my “Simple Joy” in my life, right now, is my new love, Harley. And, believe it or not, I had a difficult time finding four photo corners to add to my page. I found some in my chipboard stash, painted them to coordinate with the colors in the papers and stacked them. It’s been a while since I scrapbooked. I loved this challenged as I dabbled back into it!"

Check out the Word Art Challenge HERE!

"Simple Joys" LO by DT Jenni

Today's wonderful inspiration comes from our DT member Jenni! Here's her layout:
This is what Jenni said about her layout:

"So many of the phrases from the Subway Art to use in this Challenge were perfect for this photo. Now that our children are older, we can out for a nice dinner and not worry about people screaming if we have to wait for our food to be prepared! That is a Simple Joy, for sure. And this was taken at a very special place to us. We had our rehearsal dinner here almost 13 years ago and the owners have watched our family grow as we have watched theirs.

The photo corners required a serious dig into my stash! I used sticker and chipboard corners from Echo Park and October Afternoon...didn't even know I had them!"

Make sure you come back tomorrow to see what DT Robin brings us!!

December 7, 2013

"Family" LO by DT Lee-Anne

Happy Scrappin' Saturday!

Today's wonderful inspiration comes from out DT member Lee-Anne:
Lee-Anne said this about her layout:
"For this challenge I created a Christmas layout and used the word 'family' from the 'Word Art Inspiration' Challenge and also used some patterned paper in my stash to create my own photo corners."

See you tomorrow with more inspiration! :)

"We Are Blessed"LO by DT Joefil

Here's what she said about layout:

"This is our 2011 Christmas photo! I Used all my Christmas papers from my stash that i had for a long time, and making memories die-cuts and tags and stickers that i just used since a bought it last year. I also added 4 black photo corners in the corners of the photo. I also added a music notes stamp and some silver sequins. I choose the word we are blessed in the word art for my title.

"Smile" LO by DT Patricia

Hello!!  Today's fabulous inspiration is brought to you by our DT member Patricia!

Patricia said this about her layout:
"Thanks for taking the time out to view my layout for the Word Art Inspiration! I decided to use a photo of me and my awesome girl! I chose to use a few words directly from the choices listed..."Simple Joys", Love One Another" & "Creating Memories". All the words listed are all such a key element in loving my family...so any I went with suited me just fine!

I used some older Simple Story embellishments that I had in my stash which worked out beautifully! Flowers came from Prima and I took a stab at hand cutting my first clouds...worked out! Thanks for taking a look!"

Don't forget to come back tomorrow for more inspiration! :)

"Family (We Are Blessed)" LO by DT Elizabeth

Happy Hump Day! :)

Today, we have for you inspiration from our DT member Elizabeth:

Elizabeth said this about her layout:

"Even though it is December, I wanted to ensure that I took time to scrap our fall photos of us at the farm. It was such a fun day and so glad that the three of us went and had a lovely time! I decided to use the word "family" from the subway sign and I also used my photo corners as arrows by placing them sideways making it an interesting texture.

Supplies: All materials were from Scrapbook Circle November kit"

"Always & Forever My Friends" LO by DT Dulcinea

Today's inspiration is brought to you by DT Dulcinea:

Here's what Dulcinea said about her layout:
For this challenge I use as inspiration the piece "always & forever" from the Word Art, but my subject is about another kind of family, my friends. I have this picture with my friends taking on a chat online, and I want to scrap about it. I use photo corners from both Maggie Holmes Collection by Crate Paper as arrows for guiding the eyes around the title. Since the picture is so colorful, I kept the layout simple, using the black big & as my focal point. I choose some color from the picture of my layout and since the corners were gold I add some on. It really makes my layout colorful but elegant at the same time, don’t you think?

Happy Scrappin'! :)

"Expecting" LO by DT Carol

Today's inspiration comes from our DT member Carol.
Here is her wonderful layout:
This is what Carol said about her layout:
So here is my page for our first challenge in December. I chose the word "FAMILY" from the word art because that is my favorite theme for scrapbooking! That is an old photo from when I was still expecting my youngest son. On the left part of my page you can see my 4 photo corners used as arrows. I hope you enjoy my layout! Can't wait to see what everyone else will create! For more details visit my blog!www.carolpxto.blogspot.com
